General Ticket Sale Postponement
|
AfrikaBurn General Ticket Sales are being postponed to the 1st of December. They say you should never mix politics and Tankwa Town, yet here we are ... In South Africa, we take elections very seriously. It gives us a chance to shape our default world and decide what type of country we want to live in. It’s a democratic right and many brave people have fought and died through the years for the right to be able to put a mark on a ballot paper.
In a telling statement of organisational ability, we set our ticket sales dates for the 1st of November way before the government decided to set election dates on the same day. Since the 1st of November was also recently declared a public holiday we now can’t responsibly hold the AfrikaBurn 2022 General Ticket Sale on the same day.
We expect AfrikaBurn 2022 General Tickets to sell out in minutes and we also know that many of you have been preparing to click like crazy on the 1st of November and if we tried to run the sale ourselves with limited support or pushed the General Sale out by a day or two, it could be a government sized cock up and not give everyone time to change their plans either.
So, we’re getting a few more weeks to get your DDT applications sorted, project registrations polished up, and of course for those of you living here in our beautiful rainbow nation - the time and space to vote on the 1st of November (please make sure you do your Civic Responsibility!). We’ll see all you lovely people on the 1st of December online at 12pm (SAST) sharp and then on the 25th April 2022 in Tankwa Town.
